as an artist, income streams can be iffy at times. as an artist with complex chronic illness, they can be even more challenging, so getting paid for just participating is a huge deal. on days i can’t get out of bed i can still post, and i enjoy the interactions greatly—i’d do it for free, but to feel appreciated for being here is something no social app has ever provided
