Uniswap Launches L2 for DeFi Uniswap Labs has announced Unichain, a new Layer 2 (L2) for Ethereum focused on decentralized finance (DeFi). Unichain promises to solve current DeFi problems: reduce transaction costs by 95% and speed up transactions to near-instantaneous 250ms block times. The platform enables seamless interoperability between blockchains, improving user experience. The testnet is already live, and the main release is expected before the end of the year.
