Why can’t NFTs be simply copied like normal images? While the images or videos linked to NFTs can be copied, the ownership record on the blockchain makes each NFT unique. For example, you can download an NFT image, but without the blockchain ownership record, you don’t own it. NFTs ensure authenticity and proof of ownership through blockchain-based smart contracts. This is similar to traditional art markets—while a painting’s photo can be copied, only the original has value. For collectors and investors, an NFT’s uniqueness and ownership validation are what give it value, not just the visual representation.

It appears that the token swap tool in the Uniswap wallet signs two transactions with only one user authentication. I understand why they’ve done it but I personally find it scary. It breaches a social contract that existed since the early days of blockchains (one auth, one tx) and it doesn’t have a revoke tool.
