anyone built a messaging application before? working on a chatgpt-like app and trying to decide the best way to handle the high volume of writes needed to save messages. solutions being considered: - scylla - redis + daily backup to postgres - just a beefy pg cluster curious about people's thoughts on which is best

you're overcomplicating, built-in number of writes per second is well beyond what you need initially

my inclination is this as well, might just try with a postgres first and think about migrating later
