In this new framework, how do we form a society and a shared narrative? How do we contribute to change and repair the world, even on a small scale? (6/7)

Beyond technology, the artist is becoming a research lab for society. The traditional model of salaried work is declining, replaced by independent clusters working on a project basis. This is already happening in my practice at @aurecevettier. (5/7)

This raises key questions: - How do we retain ownership of our data and creations? - How do we ensure AI tools remain open and accessible? - How do we prevent them from replicating the barriers and biases of society? -- > https://artinthecageofdigitalreproduction.org (4/7)

The #HuggingFace page and open letter quickly went viral. #OpenAI shut down the entire program three hours later—by then, 217 videos had been generated, queues had formed, and the results were widely shared online. The event received international media coverage. (3/7)

At the same time, we released a statement denouncing the exploitation of artists for R&D —as providers of training data and as PR tools for the “overlords of AI.” We called on artists to think beyond proprietary systems and #BigTech constraints. --> https://artinthecageofdigitalreproduction.org (2/7)

On November 26, 2024, a group of artists and hacktivists, including myself, took action to reopen #OpenAI's technology to the public. We provided indirect access to #Sora, OpenAI’s video-generation model, through an open-source front-end on #HuggingFace. 🧵 (1/7)

"Echoes of the Past, Promises of the Future" : I am so happy to announce my first large museum group show in France in March 2025 at macLYON, the contemporary art museum of Lyon. I'll show a wide body of AI-generated, physical and augmented works in a dedicated room, to be unveiled at this occasion.

I've spent the last 6 weeks at Dragon Hill, an artistic residency imagined by Unit London. During this residency, in a sublime house designed by Jacques Couëlle, I was able to further expand my series “le travail des rêves” onto larger formats, while continuing to enrich and reinforce my artificial intelligence tools. I lived a bit like a monk, driving around the Castellane mountains in my old car. Many thanks to the whole residence team for these moments of happiness. I can't wait to show you the results.

Our solo show "forêt, tentative," with darmo at Bastide du Roy ended a few days ago. Our works for the years 2021 to 2024 have found their way into some magnificent collections, and ties have been established or strengthened with a broad range of institutions. For the first time, we showed huge bronze trees 2.5m high, with shapes designed with AI. To our knowledge, these are the largest AI-generated bronze sculptures to date. A catalog is edited, with a curatorial text by Viola Lukács. The exhibition evoked an attempt to cross an immense forest of almost familiar shapes - an abortive attempt, but one that brought back to the camp many fragments of landscape and impossible nature. The attempt to cross the forest will certainly be repeated. We've partnered with Devialet, using their exceptional speakers to showcase a three-part sound creation produced in collaboration with Studio Ingmar. Thanks also to all the visitors and collectors that graced us with their presence over these two weeks.
