The Unwritten Rules of Farcaster: Cast A Lot*

When the Warpcast team says: Cast a lot* to be successful and be eligible for airdrops and rewards, that’s a huge oversimplification. 

There’s a BIG asterisk in there that’s invisible, but important understand. You need to cast things that are going to get engagement. Casting for castings sake isn’t going to work out in your favor. 

75-80% of casts on Farcaster get zero engagement. That means no likes, no comments, and no recasts. This is bad.

Farcaster is a completely open protocol and you can do whatever you want. But Warpcast is not. If you want to succeed on Warpcast, you have to play by the Warpcast rules, which are unwritten. So I’m going to keep writing them until everyone is on a label playing field.

One question
if I made a cast and then delete it after 5 minutes, this cast will be spam label to my Warpcast or Farcaster account ?

I don’t think so. I think orphaned replies are way worse than orphaned top level casts. 

Because if you reply to me and I don’t reply back, the algorithm thinks it’s spammy. 

It could be that I just didn’t see it, so it’s not a one time thing, but consistent patterns. 

In this case, I got your reply so you have the good spam label.
