Farcaster and other evolving apps do not fit into this theory. 

Also, The same could have been said about TV in the 80s and 90s and radio and newspapers before that. A certain degree of manipulation of mass media was always there, no need for new conspiracy theories specific to the internet.

Don't bait me with a question. Give me arguments of why you think this is not the case.
