read @at ‘s piece on this & just came away thinking one thing that’s missing from this FID story is anti-fraud. Ez for ppl to pose as others on online or not know someone’s handle — but scammers would create new accounts & checking the FID I think is a good sign of how old or even valid the account is. My 2c

I do agree, but for the age of it, Twitter / X has a date the account was made Not many people pay attention to that though and it's there in front of your face FIDs are hidden here I tried to keep it as basic as possible to try an let people find some more technical stuff out themselves, but still put info across
