So.... my wife is 14 years younger than me, and is from Poland. I'm a 45 year old Canadian from near Vancouver. Ofc Leslie Nielsen (born in Regina, SK, Canada) was a staple of my childhood, & The Naked Gun movies. I'm pretty sure she has no clue who he is, nor has ever encountered anything like it so... having just discovered that The Naked Gun is on netflix here... Feels like I've found tonight's adventure. Let's see how far we get into the movie 🤣

Yes absolutely lol I think there may be a new Naked Gun something coming out? I saw a trailer a bit ago. I've thought, every few years, about how popular that comedy was for a while, and how it needed some fallow time but would swing back around again! I'm curious to see how it's all handled

Personally I think comedy films like Naked Gun, American pie, Scary movie are all dead with how censored comedy is now due to folk on the left being offended. Honestly can't remember watching one like the greats in the last 10 years.

You've hit the nail on the head. I'm Canadian, my wife is Polish, and we're living in Europe now, and it feels like the US publisher fear of offending sides, or more specifically the left, has really impacted media. If you have Neftlix I really recommend checking out Alpha Males. It's out of Spain & they did a really really great job of just sharing a funny, real, interesting series surrounding 4 men & their families etc trying to navigate the current cultural zeitgeist, with deconstructing patriarchy seminars, workplace issues etc. One of the best shows I've seen in ages. We just finished the 3rd season last night, and feels like it could possibly end there, but I'd definitely be interested in them doing another season.
