This is a good decision. Preferenxe falsification is a big problem in society and we need to see people's honest views. It would be really cool if Farcaster follows it, by implementing ZK likes. Can probably borrow technology from zupoll.

That’s probably part of the reason Tumblr didn’t take off but was such a cool feature.

that's fair. I feel like tumblr was everywhere just before instagram took off, around 2013, but the arrival of IG really hurt them for sure

Not as much in comparison to the other leading social apps of its time. 

IG ate most of his market share too. Still alive, had 100M+ MAU (idk what it is today), and did better than VSCO tho.
