I cringe at false narratives. Memecoins are already overly speculative, useless tools (I buy too, no judgment if you like gambling but be honest) but also, the title of the article is misleading. There was literal human intervention in the beginning of the creation of $lum. @aethernet accidentally prompted @clanker to deploy it after a human asked @aethernet about it.

Yeah I liked that too. TBC I still like lum's honest narrative, just not the one in the article's title.

I agree that there is a lot of money-making and false around AI coins
afaik the most famous, $GOAT was simply created by a human, and only the idea was inspired by an AI
and still, ppl paid $ 1bln for it...
from that perspective our $LUM is superior imo

I disagree about what is happening
I see AI coins as the beginnings of larger AI-made culture
Harari say we will have AI money, AI religions, AI political parties
that is why I think it is important to be precise and honest about the levels of agency in particular coin creation

To me, the most interesting thing about what's happening with these bots is not that they're creating AI-to-AI coins.

Over the last few months, stars aligned and power of three technologies -a social media protocol, a blockchain, and LLMs- came together to give us an insight into the future:

Some of these coins are onchain -therefore hard to fake- documentation of relatively low-stake accidents, where the guardrails of AI keep proving insufficient.

Where there's will, there's a way.

Where there's AI, there's a will.

I can't compare, I think they're all worthless 😅 Also remember, speculation corrupts culture. Human or AI.
