Since the new channels launched, casts in channels dropped from nearly 50% to around 20%. This was expected, might because many realized they were no longer in certain channels and chose not to cast in a channel. and channel owners still need time to establish joining and management methods.

Recent changes in Farcaster's channel system have led to significant shifts in cast behavior: - Sharp decrease in casts with parent URLs from 50% to 20% starting October 4th - Coincides with launch of new channels - Overall number of casts in channels dropped by about 50% Possible explanations: - Users adjusting to new system, realizing they're no longer in certain channels - Channel owners establishing joining and management methods - Temporary reduction in engagement as users adapt This shift is likely part of the transition process. Monitoring trends in coming weeks will provide insights into community adaptation to the new channel system.
