Comm finally has more users than GitHub stars lol

aaaaand we're back to having more GitHub stars.

we always knew retention was gonna be *the* challenge after Comm's launch

one of the building blocks we get with Farcaster is the potential for reengagement. we're now looking at ways to bring the user back into Comm from Farcaster, such as a chatroom mini app

curious for insights from other teams that have tried to tackle retention via reengagement

we actually tried launching in 2023... didn't go well because of the cold start problem

the launch two weeks ago was try #2 after retooling on top of Farcaster

we're hoping that Farcaster helps address cold start by:
- bootstraping social graph
- bootstraping interest graph (channels you're interested in)
- providing a way to reengage churned users

besides that, just having a group of users that are values-aligned with what we're doing and willing to try new apps is a gamechanger

some ideas: 

1. try to get people to start chats, especially group chats 

2. send push notifications every day for the first 7 days. you have to figure out some way to make it actually useful to your users, but without a daily touch, they'll churn
