I'm pretty sympathetic to reducing/rewriting copyright laws, but this seems kinda crazy and like it actually might harm Ghibli's intellectual property, especially with OpenAI's ability to mimic the style so closely.

If they did, it could possibly partially resolve my cognitive dissonance of simultaneously loving the progress in AI and also wanting to respect the artists' creative output. Get them a bunch of extra income for no additional work. I'm for this.
