This is insane: a lawyer was detained at the airport for REPRESENTING pro Palestinian protesters. With the Supreme Court today granting Trump and Rubio authority to deport anyone under a dubious law, the police state is officially here. https://www.freep.com/story/news/local/michigan/wayne/2025/04/07/lawyer-for-u-m-protester-held-at-airport-refused-to-give-feds-his-phone/82978891007/?taid=67f45ffd2263bc00012ffe85&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter

Thankfully they haven't actually ruled on the invocation of the Alien Enemies Act. Their ruling was bad and really dangerous for anyone without legal representation, but for now it's just removing a restraining order preventing AEA removals but reinforcing that all deportees get a legal chance to contest it.
