Celeb memecoin szn and getting sued lit a fire under Shkreli, so he spammed his contacts until he was able to get in touch with the only Trump who would give him time, Barron. 

Shkreli tells Barron he needs daddy T to get behind it so Barron says 'sure bro' (which is more than enough for Shkreli). Enough of the grifters in the Trump ecosystem get involved, 'leak' to Pirate Wires, and the rest is in the public record.
