zora content coin deployment flow for anyone curious more similar to standard memecoin launch than I expected given the low mc on launch cool to see how a team like doppler with a lot of specialized expertise in uni-land approaches the memecoin stuff, do wonder if theres anything doppler side that we are missing on why it was expected this would be “resistant to sniping”? shoutout bryce for always being down to look at this stuff, my favorite nerdsnipe is always pool stuff lol

Isn't the tie in to a piece of media the difference? Memecoins can exist/be created independent of the media.

wdym, dont memecoins have that? a content coin could be created independent of the media, all coins could

I suppose this may be semantics, but imo axiomatically a content coin does not exist independent of the content whereas the only thing a memecoin needs is a deployer and a ticker.

I'm so confused by all this lol A memecoin or project coin needs content made around it to hype up Otherwise they die immediately I don't really see where you're coming from on this.

Content coin = 1 piece of content being traded Memecoin = project/community from which content can (but does not have to) be produced

I mean for a memecoins survival it needs content. And for a Zora or content coins survival it also needs community. I still see literally no difference besides opinions.

Think of the Trump "Fight" photo as an example. If the photographer had been able to take that picture and post it on Zora (or w/e platform), they would be the direct beneficiary of the virality and significance of that picture. Users would also be able to trade it knowing the trade benefits the true 'creator' of that content. The picture itself is the tradeable token, nothing else needed. Instead we got a bunch of "memecoin" tokens launched from it, none of which had provenance or benefitted the actual photographer and users don't have a clear idea of which one to trade or who the original creator of that token is. In theory, content coins can fix that.

Interesting take I will have to just wait and see this theory come to fruition & stand the test of time within the web3 space.
