The way I see it, any position I have that represents a political power minority is not likely to be the path to obtaining the power I need to enact different policy. It’s a Machiavellian game, made worse by non-proportional, non-majoritarian republic structures like the Senate and Electoral College. I don’t need a superhero to inspire me. I need an operative to do whatever it takes to penetrate power. Warmly acknowledging people like me might not be that operative’s winning strategy.

"Politics is for Power" should be mandatory reading in school. So much of American politics gets lost in idealism and a misunderstanding of why you *have* to choose the lesser of two evils. The US is so diverse, very few people's ideal policy positions will ever be fully covered by a candidate.

I’m for this and would like to add a lesson plan that fosters emotional intelligence and communication. We can know these things to be true and still be debated to the point of no return. I’ve been watching democrats (not you or tay just in general) demanding logic from people who are actively experiencing trauma because of present foreign policies The human brain requires the emotional part to be validated and understood before it can even access the logical part. I think democrats are doing things badly on this front and it’s difficult to witness
