Just finished Disco Elysium. Holy shit. What a game. Such insanely rich world building and deeply engrossing story. I *loved* the skill system and how you fight yourself to get stuff done. This game will stick with me for a while.

I must be doing something wrong, bc over the past 2 years I’ve been playing through IGN’s top 100 GOAT games list, and I couldn’t get into DE despite trying it out a couple times. I guess it’s one of those you gotta push through the beginning, since I enjoy RPGs usually (just finished P5R 🥸)

You’re not alone. I love rpg games and I really appreciated all the options DE was giving me, I liked the art direction and the writing… …but the story or the characters didn’t grab me, although I’m a philosophy graduate and passionate about sociology. Gonna try it again in a few months.
