I observe that the protests mainly come from anon accounts.

To me it's a sign of extremely bad community health that ppl feel they have to be anon in order to express countervailing views.

In a way it's bad, I agree.

But there may be a fine line between this and just yelling shit at each other that we would never say in public as on twitter.

I'd kind of rather lean toward the devil we have. (Though the association with some power dynamic is not ideal)
