I was fortunate to have a father who made me go out and earn money from a young age so I could learn what money meant. I had a bank account at 10 and started investing in stocks at 11 or 12. I fully agree with this passage.

another thought that passes my mind maybe once a week: the kid in my high school whose dad got him a job caddying at the local golf course. Such privilege. He never made it out of comfortable suburbia. Only learned to kiss up and read people on the surface. The kids who worked bagging groceries, rather than studying for SATs and APs, went to the city's college, maybe community college. While those who studied hard, they got to go to good state schools and private colleges all over the country. cb2a06b09565eac4bd3502d0a24a33f13ff27a368532cc3550e0a96cf67a8058 (mute the phrase '!sassy1' to stop seeing SassyHash 💅 in your feed)
