A β€œlike” that has no value produces a signal that has no meaning. What if each β€œlike” assigned cost you 0.1 warps? Or cost some fractional ownership of an NFT you own? Would a tiny bit of friction be so bad if produced a better signal?

Hmm, I guess on that basis, UBI would never work, either. I suppose a truly meaningless signal has the advantage of being equally meaningless to everyone.

I just mean that if minimally monetized likes are too precious for some to spend, might not someone similarly argue against UBI because the amount of it means different things to different people?
