at this point, i'm convinced the farcaster economy is a circular economy where we all just continuously rug each other towards, either towards generational wealth or mutually assured destruction

best: only buy if you can hold your dump in as long as Saylor or Satoshi next best: Vitalik or Justin Sun mortals: risk manage and take profits diligently, size appropriately, etc worst: dis guy (love you man) https://warpcast.com/geoffgolberg/0x29759a42

he might like that tho! actually a serious, open question: does capital formation and/or prosocial innovation incentives work better or worse with massive PvP? I guess my answer is nuanced: in a field where actors are similarly sophisticated, let em FIIIGHT. when your frens are minnows, let them swim but don't funnel them to sharks

I'm thinking out loud, trying to clarify vague thoughts about kinds of wallet history that would be best to surface, elevate, and celebrate. my gut says: social trading apps should underweight easy things to discover, overweight hard things to fake. when an app makes it easy for the crowds to mindlessly follow, that alpha is gone and it turns into risk. Just like at a poker table, if one guy goes all-in every hand, they can steal the ante for a few hands, but will fall blindly into the inevitable trap. The rules of poker evolved to deal with that easy strategy, because the game is more fun and sustainable with the right level of complexity. Markets are cruel and rule-less though, so the analogy breaks down a bit

similar, my initial reaction was, fack, this is super pvp and i don't hate it, even consider it interesting way to bootstrap/fundraise however, i get the feeling that we're more often funneling our minnow frens to the sharks than not šŸ˜†
