my take on $degen staking after stewing on it: many people have said it, but the #1 issue is that an allocation shouldn't be based on the fraction the stake represents of the entire pool since it effectively creates a bidding war for allocations (pvp). i won't make specific suggestions on how to change this since many great ones have already been made.

i am proud to have staked, but seeing other folks' allocations continue to drop due to this dynamic makes me (and them) sad. getting penalized for doing nothing is sad.

tipping should be as fun as we can make it.

I think the free market will eventually define how much locked Degen is worth a 10k Degen tip allowance, and then the price will stabilize. In my opinion, free markets work better than centrally defined prices. Let's see how it plays out this season!

I support locking degen and like this change, but I hope there are other ways to participate that allow everyone to progress without just spending money. This way, the project can have a positive feedback loop.
