or every time you press the button, you get a random delay added before you can press it again - if you press the button again during that time your degen just gets burnt - could work as an anti botting measure

maybe different rewards based on when button was pressed? if between 1000-900 blocks left, you get 1%, 900-800 blocks 2%, 800-700 blocks 3% etc. (i haven’t actually worked out any numbers, just showcasing the idea, with the 1% / 2% / 3% being some kind of coefficient) to incentivise pressing the button…

If you really want to make sure it's not an indefinite black hole you could periodically reduce the timer. If it gets down to 1 block it almost certainly will end the game! Maybe make it like Bitcoin and halve the timer every 4 years 😜

Unsure how the funds were pooled but to make it more sustainable the pool could just be the entrance fees minus maintenance/dev/royalty fees, etc

I’m surprised you didn’t make it ongoing. Make the payout term longer, so that’s it’s essentially the lottery, everyone puts in till a certain point and the pool ends up being whatever the grand total is. You still make money for the upkeep and it sustains itself.

I agree with what others have said, letting people reduce the time by paying more would make it more interactive and a little bit harder to bot. How about doing a split like: 70% to the pot 15% to the team 15% to the next pot So you don't have to fund a V3 starting pot yourselves
