I don't need a lot to be happy $500k this cycle and I'm basically retired $200k for 5 years of living expenses (very generous) and $300k to buy the bottom of the next cycle in a couple years, repeat ad infinitum I refuse to be psyop'd by the "$10M isn't enough to retire" crowd

I need about $3mil to retire, but that's because I'm the sole provider for a wife and 3 kids. $500k gives you $16k/year in perpetuity. I'm not sure that's actually livable, at least not in the USA where I am.

Don't plan on 500k lasting a lifetime but would afford me a ton of freedom to figure out where I'm going to get the next 500k
