Genuine question: Do ya’ll think there will come a time that artists/designers won’t be able to compete with AI? The sheer amount of work produced in one generation from 1 prompt (say 100k pieces) is more than I could produce by hand in my lifetime. Even if it was a purely digital work.

I’m not shitting on AI, I often use it a tool to streamline my process, but never as a means to remove the craft. Thoughts?

Everything, that goes beyond the limits of routine and contains at least a drop of something new, owes its origin to the creative human process.

true! Curious to see the next evolution of this. Ex/ photography coming to light (pun intended) threatened painters, but now film has expanded how humans can create & has included more individuals in the art realm.

I really enjoy making procedural art, but I also drawing by hand. Maybe that’s a sign both can exist.

Once, the photographic process freed artists from the routine of painting portraits.

AI is a new tool, I hope people will finally engage in something important.
