I love @dwr.eth and co, but I'd rather hold off until we have something that is end-to-end encrypted.

I also think that to get ecosystem-wide adoption, it should be federated, someone using one messenger should be able to talk to people using other messengers.

Farcaster could still be the best protocol to build decentralized Telegram. Not because it provides the best primitives to build encrypted communication but because it offers a frictionless bridge to onchain infrastructure.

Technical challenges are solvable with time but path to decentralization must be premeditated
