Found a new used bookstore. What’s wild is I dreamt last night of looking through a bookshelf and finding a copy of Mason & Dixon

Fascinating article bridging the works of Leibniz to the latest technologies being worked on now in the decentralized space; sometimes it takes hundreds of years of progress for an idea to find its methods of practical application! https://press.logos.co/article/obsessed-with-archives

By Wallace Stevens. I have yet to dive far into modernism, but I know that his work will supply a lifetime of challenge and pleasure. In this poem I recognize a unity of thought, action, and environment, and it seems to stand opposed to another winter poem of his (which I’ll post in reply). How do you interpret this?

Another point: just as writers of older works write to us from another world, our chronological distance to the work allows us to gain insights on it that the author and audience at the time could not gather

Another good example of this is Alexis de Tocqueville, a Frenchman, coming over the Atlantic and writing Democracy in America

Infinitesimal limits Like tesseracts swing from our souls: Iambic, dactylic, whatever; Each holding pleasures and woes. To strictly abide by them? Never! Recipes rather than laws: Remedies ours to remember, Poisonous when ill-imposed...

Jacques Derrida in "Plato's Pharmacy" calls writing a "pharmakon" a greek word that means both remedy and poison.

Sharing a writing technique I discovered that I call “blind typing.” It works best with a Bluetooth keyboard connected to any note taking app on your phone, and requires a bit of touch typing skill. It allows you to continuously type without stopping to read what you’re typing or worry about spelling mistakes.
