Rashford: “It wasn’t hard to choose Aston Villa, I admire their performance”

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has commented on his loan move to Aston Villa.

On February 2, it became known that Rashford had been loaned to Villa until the end of the season. According to Sky Sports, the Birmingham club will pay the 27-year-old forward between 75 and 90% of his salary, depending on his performance.

— I want to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this deal happen. I was lucky that several clubs were interested in me, but it wasn’t hard to choose Aston Villa. I just admire the way Aston Villa have played this season and the ambitions of their manager. I want to play football and I’m looking forward to my chance. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season," Rashford was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

Rashford, 27, has made 24 appearances in all competitions this season, scoring seven goals, and has been out of action since mid-December. In January, United manager Ruben Amorim said Rashford could not expect a place in the squad because he was not giving his all in training.
