Arjan | That Poetry Guy

About a decade ago I was a board member of StartupDorf, an association of startups in Düsseldorf. Some of the most important challenges the startups had was a lack of access to funding, an overly complicated regulatory landscape due to not having a true single market in the EU, and the "death penalty" on "failure". The other day I was listening to an interview with a digital business expert and founder from another EU country. 10 years have passed, nothing has really changed. How would you overcome these challenges?

A lot of brilliant ideas, dreams and startups die due to lack of funding and the only viable solution is still funding. Except the startup can switch to a model where it can be run with little to no funding, I don’t think it would be able to make it out without solving the funding problem.
