Certainly a lovely poem. What makes it one of your favorites, if I may ask? 500 $DEGEN

I am attracted to its nature. I don’t particularly like poems intentionally opaque: poems are not riddles. But she was saying something deep from her heart … I just need to learn her language. Plus, I’m a sucker for any poem with a last line that is unapologetically bold! Thanks for the $dgen too!

Wow, that's a very clear view. And yes, I agree, poems are not riddles. I aim to create mine in such a way that the reader can interpret them with their own baggage.

I once heard a business consultant use the term “your strategy is showing” in response to a marketing plan that was trying too hard to be special or funny. That’s the way I feel about many poets/poems - they try to hard to be “art” … resulting in a cliched, complicated mess.

Precisely that. It's all a matter of what speaks to you and what doesn't. No need to hate if you can coexist. Live and let live. Write and let write.
