Increasingly more and more bullish on the standard mint price moving to 0.001 ETH (~$0.35) First started to feel it on @rodeodotclub - more recently with many of the featured Onchain Summer drops on @base and @levy Shorts on @pods Small change but makes minting feel way more low stakes and fun - really stoked to see more of this!!

I would like to see data on the impact of artist income. Are people really minting so much more at this price that artists are generating a similar income as with the zora fee of 0.000777? The big benefit of that, to me, was that it changed the paradigm from 'art is free' to 'art is worth paying for'. The move to lower the price seems to be a mental reversion of that. I would not love to see us go back to the web2 mentality of "art has no value".

Yup totally hear that and a lot of what has been vocalized on Twitter when I brought this up. The Doodles mint is a good case study on this but I know that's a pretty large IP brand. In the short term the total income will def be lower but its meant to reposition us to capture more value as more users come onchain. Basically no one should ever be boxxed out of collecting cause the entry price is too high. Combine that with some added rarity or incentive to collect more at a higher price and I think we've got a good playbook on our hands! https://zora.co/collect/base:0x1e1ad3d381bc0ccea5e44c29fb1f7a0981b97f37/1?referrer=0x98D62Dd170D9B8979bDdb98AE6bb6f7640A82AD3
