idk if there is a word for this so imma make one up. i think of myself as a tangibilist. i don't care for "stuff" in general, but i do love tangible, touchable reminders of things i experienced - tiny pebbles, a stolen hotel notepad, little tchotchke's from a gift shop

Hm. Tangibilist sounds like you want to touch more than anything else. I'm not sure that's always appropriate or wanted. I'm with @freymon.eth on this: souvenirist, with a note that in french the word for memory is souvenir, so in this case that angle of the meaning would be highlighted.

ah missed the memory part - i do like that although the being able to hold it part does matter a lot to me too so hmmmm
