My November Art for my hypersub subscribers was a little unique. I think it’s the first NFT on Farcaster blessed by a monk at a temple dedicated to the goddess Benzaiten in Kyoto and minted with a prayer the monk helped me write.

Benzaiten is the only female goddess among the Seven Lucky Gods of Fortune. As the protector of artists, I've felt a connection to her my entire trip and stop to donate at every shrine/ temple that has a space dedicated to her. She is usually shown playing the biwa, a Japanese lute and is sometimes seen with a white snake. 2025 is the year of the snake so I felt she needed to be featured while I was still in Kyoto so I could continue to patronize her spaces while I work on my own art. I've asked her to watch over my fellow Farcaster artists as well as my patrons. Thank you again for your support!

Choken-ji is the only temple in Kyoto whose principal image depicts the goddess Benzaiten. The meaning is as follows - BEN means endow or bestow; ZAI means fortune; and TEN means goddess. Therefore, BEN ZAI TEN means a goddess that bestows fortune. I filled out a Gomagi sacred sticks with wishes that all my patrons have great fortune sent their way. It will be burned on the temple grounds in a special fire pit later this year.
