So I wanted to dig into why my follower count reduced by 25% in the past week(s), and found that they've hidden the spammiest users. So I went digging into Dune. So basically, 67%--two thirds--of accounts on Farcaster engage in spammy behaviour? I love the engagement I get here and it's always from real casters these days. But if this is accurate, the overall stats are pretty terrible, not gonna lie. Legitimately surprised and a little bit disappointed, tbh. We need to do better. 😿

Hi, frenpai! I too was disappointed but the SPAM label is slowly improving. Many people recovered this week. I think the management is making an effort. It will get even better from here on out. I will keep my chin up and do what I do best.

Haaaaai frenpai! That is great to hear! I hope that we see improvements so that incorrectly flagged accounts are removed from these labels, but I also hope the genuinely spammy accounts stop using FC as they are disincentivised to do so. I'm also going to stay optimistic, and keep using FC. I don't see this as a reason to stop, only that we need to improve both the incorrect flags, and increasing genuine user ratio.

That's right! And many have recovered in recent weeks. I know it is difficult to have a perfect algorithm, but I look forward to further improvements. I will still continue to FC.
