ON CATNIP: 😻🌿 There's a hereditary gene that makes them react to catnip! If they don't have this gene they won't react. AFAIK ~30% of cats don't have this gene. If your cat doesn't react it's not a problem, likely just genetics! Also, cats react differently: some get hyper, others super chilled. ☝️🐱

Another fun fact! There are different types of stimulant for cats! While some genetically doesn’t react to catnip, they may have reaction from other regional plant based cat stimulant like itchy cat tree (pokok kucing galak) from Southeast Asia, or matatabi (ζœ¨ε€©θ“Ό) from Japan!

Ooooh! Thanks for that additional information, I had wondered at times whether there were others things cats might react to. I know there's cat grass but it doesn't seem so "powerful". Deffo worth a look at these alternatives if your cat doesn't react to catnip! 50 $DEGEN

There may be more alternatives that we didn’t know / mention here. Hope to learn more. AFAIK I had a cat who doesn’t react to these 3 stimulant (while her friend was far out and drooling bubbles while rolling on the floor) ☺️ happy to share the info!
