“If something isn't safe for your skin, then it's not safe to eat. The FDA finally just banned Red No. 3 from our foods—it only took them 35 years from when it was banned from makeup. Now it's time to ban Red 40, Yellow 5/6, High-Fructose Corn Syrup, and all trash in our food.” - U.S. Rep. Anna Luna

I highly doubt they will ever limit high-fructose corn syrup.

They have a wee bit with setting limits of HF corn syrup in sodas etc. “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) allows high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) in food with no limitations other than current good manufacturing practices. However, the FDA does limit the amount of fructose in HFCS to 42% or 55%.”
