China’s year-end exciting programs continue!!!!!

On the same day that news broke about the launch of the Type 076 drone carrier Sichuan, hull number 51, after impressive showcases by Chengdu and Shenyang aircraft manufacturers, another Chinese aerospace company, Xi’an Aircraft Industrial Corporation, unveiled its new creation.

Images have been released of the flight of China’s new-generation AWACS prototype, the KJ-3000, which is based on the Y-20B transport platform equipped with WS-20 engines. Featuring a large disc-shaped radome on top of its fuselage, it is expected to be China’s most capable AWACS to date. Additionally, at the rear of the fuselage (in the area where the ramp would typically be), a large, gland-like structure is visible, which requires closer, higher-quality images for confirmation.
