[CASTBACK] This week in my spare time I've continued building castback, a /cli command line tool that backs up all of a user's farcaster casts, and enables searches. I built this because I found myself always trying to find *that old cast I made last month*. - Caches all casts from any FID to filesystem: no need to keep pulling data over API. Can easily update your backup with the most recent batch of casts only. - Searches and provides link to cast. - Uses @airstack.eth API, so users don't need a hub, just a free API key. (It took a while since we spoke first about it @betashop.eth but I did finally get around to building with the API, thanks!) I'll open source and release it once it's all done, but it's working well already! (Highly recommend checking airstack if you want to do farcaster dev quickly with minimal fuss! 🙏)

Would this eliminate the storage issue? Or am I not thinking about it correctly? You are using smart guy talk.

Great question aqueous! No, it wouldn't impact your storage. It simply provides you with a backup of all casts from an account (i.e., your account). In the event that you run out of storage and it starts wiping your casts, at least you still have a backup of what you casted for posterity.

Yippee! Makes me glad to hear that non-technical users have a need for it! I'm going to try to write ELI5 docs so that anyone can use it without too much fuss.💜 It might seem a bit "techie" or daunting with the command line, but it's not that bad. And I'll be here to help anyone (especially frenpais) use it.
