was thinking the same - it could further skew the proportion of people here looking to make money. not necessarily bad, but just a conscious choice..

Exactly. While of course a crypto social app will inevitably attract grifters, an emphasis on its descentralized nature would make it more attractive for people who don't care about crypto but suffer the centralization of web2 platforms.
