This all used to be free and only capped by API call limits. All (formerly) Twitter charged for was targeted feed advertising. It’s much cheaper if you’re an individual to say obnoxious, demagogic things or make adult content to access organic reach, so this amounts to charging money to those who need to be mentally well and clothed.

big pain since this happened. had to shift to kinda third party services offering APIs of twitter at discount (guess somehow managing to sell multiple licenses cheaply for the 1 single license they purchase)
