For some context, 

Some professions mandate degree verification for each background check (like doctors, lawyers, pharmacists, etc....). 

It's a manual call to the college/university for each verification. It sucks!! 

But I know what you mean. Onchain is a better process, but the incentives are missing.

Kind of crazy that we’re 10 years into Ethereum and it’s still next to impossible to tell if an address is likely to be a high quality user for your app with an api call.
