Hello world 👋 It was a big week for BlockSocks! We deployed to Base mainnet yesterday

I've mentioned this project here and there, but now that we're live, I wanted to make a channel to talk about the project, where we're at, where we wanna go, to get feedback, and for people to post their socks!

So, what is it?

BlockSocks has two user types: Artists and customers

Artists use the pixel editor to create sock designs and mint them as NFTs. Designs must be unique.

After a design is minted, it can be purchased as a real pair of socks by customers. Right now socks cost 27 USDC. When a customer buys a sock, the owner of the design NFT (the original artist, unless they sold or transferred the NFT) gets 5 USDC.

When a customer buys a pair of socks, we also mint them a comemorative NFT of their order.

That's the idea in a nutshell, but we built things in a way that let us do some interesting things!
