Building /veil - ZK Privacy Protocol for Base

I guess I’m comparing to my current method of transferring through a CEX. I haven’t used any of those other products. This is strictly not a necessity for me so ~$20 to deposit 1 ETH feels like more than I’m willing to pay just to try it out.

I get this point and yes, Veil is more expensive than jumping through an exchange. 

But, your addresses are still linked / stored on the exchange. 

If you are sending funds to a friend you are then linking that friends address to your CEX account forever. 

Same for a payment / donation to someone. 

Veil allows you to completely unlink to addresses.

Yes visually onchain, there will be no connection via an CEX but there will be a link at an exchange. 

This is the key difference.

Yep. I’d love to have it lower. But it’s 0.5% for now.

Can lower the fees though with more volume?

Yep. It’s a nightmare. /veil fixes this.

and in EU now if you withdraw you have to enter the name and country of the recipient 🙉
