What the route of the Dublin marathon? Is it close to the river and flat? Or does it has ups and downs? 
I was in Dublin one week ago, went out for a run, and was wondering where people run in the city.

Basically all over Dublin. I would say mostly flat? But I'm not a runner so note sure. Just spotted a pub I know in the background!

I don’t know the city that well. But I run in the park and it is lightly hilly. Not that much. Thanks for sharing the map. 😊

I would guess the end of the park, top left corner of the map, is the higest point imo. 

Phoneix park is every so slightly up hill, as you move away from the sea.

I ran half of the park last week when I was in Dublin. It is a bit hilly. But still ok. 
I’m far from running marathons, but I’ll check other races that might have in Dublin. I like the city pretty much and come to visit every now and then.
