im a big fan of the recent degen tipping changes

1. deriving tipping allowance from a combo of locking the token and the social graph strength feels like a really elegant solution to reward people with real skin in the game

2. it's much less farmable, yet the numbers are still really solid (~300 APY atm)

3. degen tipping remains the best growth strategy on farcaster — lots of supercast users got more in degen tips than they ever paid for supercast

4. it's not clear yet, but the branding really improves — i was disappointed with the ai images and begging meta before. Now the vibe it's closer to actually rewarding valuable contributions to the network.

5. having a predictable emission budget is great too and makes the token much more sustainable over the long run

im currently locking 500k degen and will look later how can i bring it to the max 10k allo

imo @jacek did a great job with this one — im excited to release more degen related features in supercast soon :)

I was very confused by @woj.eth's post about earning a 300% APY on my LDEGEN, because I'm not earning any APY on mine... 

Then I had a look at the leaderboard: https://www.degen.tips/airdrop2/current

and noticed that @devilsangjin (rank 3 currently) + @yousangjin seem to be doing a great job of earning that 300% APY by tipping each other their full allowance each day.

So, is starting a Tip cabal OK for season 6? 🤔

i like using APY here bc for me it’s actually money i can spend on marketing (instead of spending my own dollars)

Yeah I got that from your post, I use it the same way to reward my holders of my NFT’s but it just triggered something in my mind that people will try and cash in on this. And here we have it 😒

It can be so powerful for degen, Farcaster, individuals, businesses if we use allocations properly.

Tip for tip farming & tipping circles by clearly identifiable farmers isn’t it.

It’s ultimately the community to decide if they accept this behavior.

I’d disqualify them immediately aka at least make these tips not count & ask them to change behavior.
