The official printing of the Declaration of Independence was set in Caslon, a font made by William Caslon in 1722 (interestingly, his first commission was an Arabic font for the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge)

Pretty incredible to see the variety of non-Latin scripts on the right of the sheet - Armenian is the least esoteric??
