Brigitte Bardot on Maria Pergay's Magic Carpet couch in an episode of Sacha Distel's show. In March last year, the iconic piece sold at auction for $163,800, and a few months later, Maria herself passed away. During her life, she worked with leading fashion houses such as Givenchy, Fendi, Pierre Cardin, Christian Dior, and Hermès, and also made a huge contribution to the design of steel furniture.
