Happy blob day! .oO

Joining in 2019, all my initial research (execution sharding, enshrined AA, 3074, state expiry) were paths not taken. A necessary part of research, but it's a great feeling to have EIP-4844 reach mainnet today.

A long time coming - I took this photo in Feb 2022 when we started work on the spec:

Good question actually! I am not aware of one. There has been one main conceptual change between this initial sketch and the final 4844: In the sketch we were planning to send blobs together with a block (BeaconBlockAndBlob), but in the final version they are sent on independent subnets now.

Well, this is a better diagram of blobs than anything else I’ve been able to find.

Is there a current diagram or doc you’d recommend?

Amazing accomplishment!  Can't wait to turn on blobs on Base later today....
